Before you install SET IPTV

SET IPTV is a media player, not a television subscription. The app does not supply channels, movies or sports. You need credentials or an M3U URL from a provider that is authorized to distribute the content you intend to watch.

Have your TV remote, a phone or computer, and your provider's setup email ready. Never publish or share a personal playlist URL: it can contain a username and password.

Step 1: check whether your TV is compatible

Open the official app store built into your television and search for “SET IPTV.” Availability can vary by TV model, operating system, country and store policy. Samsung TVs normally use the Samsung app store, LG TVs use the LG Content Store, and Android TV or Google TV devices use Google Play.

If the app is not listed, do not download an unknown file made for a different operating system. Check for TV firmware updates or use a compatible streaming device. Installing an Android APK on a Samsung Tizen or LG webOS television will not work.

Step 2: install and open the app

  1. Select the authentic SET IPTV listing in your device's store.
  2. Choose Install or Get and wait for the download to finish.
  3. Open the app and allow its first screen to load fully.
  4. Write down the MAC address shown inside the app exactly, including every letter, number and colon.

The in-app MAC address identifies this installation. It may not match a network label elsewhere in your television settings, so always use the value SET IPTV displays.

Step 3: connect your playlist

On a phone or computer, open the current management URL shown by the SET IPTV app or supplied through the developer's current official channel. Enter the app MAC address, choose the available M3U or account method, and submit only credentials you are entitled to use. Then fully close and reopen the TV app.

For the detailed connection process, follow our guide to use SET IPTV with an M3U playlist.

If SET IPTV does not appear in the store

  • Confirm the exact TV model and operating system.
  • Update the television software and reopen its app store.
  • Check whether the store region matches your actual location.
  • Use a compatible Android TV or streaming device if the TV platform is unsupported.
  • Avoid unofficial downloads that ask you to disable security protections.

Installation troubleshooting

The app opens but shows no channels

Installation and playlist setup are separate. Add a valid playlist, confirm the correct MAC address, then restart the app. A blank screen does not necessarily mean installation failed.

The app asks for activation

The player may have a trial or separate license controlled by its developer. An IPTV provider subscription and the app license are different purchases. Verify current terms through the developer interface shown by the authentic app.

The app freezes on first launch

Restart the television, check its internet connection and available storage, and install any TV software updates. If other apps also fail, troubleshoot the television network before changing playlist settings.
